About Us

JoyRide Center, a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, is located on 10 beautiful acres in Magnolia, Texas, just a short drive from Tomball and The Woodlands. Since its founding in 2009 by a group of visionaries committed to a "Clients First" philosophy, JoyRide has prioritized quality over quantity in all its services. What began with therapeutic riding has grown into a multifaceted organization offering a range of equine-assisted programs. In 2013, JoyRide launched the PREP Day Program, providing adults with different abilities a place to learn, grow, and find joy in daily life. In 2022, Equine-Assisted Learning was introduced to promote mental wellness through meaningful interactions with horses. JoyRide is also honored to support veterans through Operation Equine, offering compassionate care to those who have served our country. Thanks to the tireless support of our board, staff, volunteers, and clients, we remain deeply rooted in our founding values while continuing to grow and serve.

Our Core Values

Passion

The Unwavering commitment and heartfelt dedication that drives us to serve others, champion our mission, and create meaningful, lasting change in the communities we support.

Inclusive

Intentionally creating an environment where all individuals- regardless of background, identity, or ability- are respected, valued and empowered to fully participate and contribute to our mission and community.

Christ Centered

Grounding all that we do in the life, teaching and love of Jesus Christ- Serving others with compassion, integrity, humility and commitment to reflect Gods grace in every action and relationship.

Leadership

The act of guiding and inspiring others with vision, integrity, and humility- empowering teams, uplifting communities, and driving meaningful changes in pursuit of our mission.

Dignity
The inherent worth of every person, deserving of respect, compassion, and fairness- regardless of their circumstances.  We honor dignity by treating all individuals with kindness, equity and commitment to justice

Care

The intentional expression of compassion, empathy, and responsibility toward the well-being of others.  It means showing up with kindness, meeting peoples needs with respect, and fostering a culture of support and healing

WHY THE HORSE?

A horse’s movement can be adjusted in many ways to meet each rider’s individual needs and support a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities. In a typical 30-minute session, a horse takes about 3,000 steps, moving the rider’s pelvis in a way that closely mimics the natural motion of walking.

This gentle movement helps riders strengthen their bodies, improve stability, and experience greater independence over time.
