Tomball Two-Step Fundraiser

Saturday, October 9, Tomball Two-Step fundraiser at Parkway Chevrolet, 6:30 pm .

JoyRide along with Society of Samaritans are the two beneficiaries of this event. (Thank you to the 40+ people who came and stuffed, sealed and stamped over 21,000 invitations!)  Tickets are $50. The invitation with ticket order form can be found at www.joyridecenter.org. More information can also be found at www.parkwaychevrolet.com.

Auction items are still needed for this event, such as, jewelry, trips, vacation homes, services, artwork, home decor, themed baskets...just about anything!  Proceeds from any items that we bring in and are selected for the live auction go exclusively to JoyRide.  You can bring your auction items to JoyRide or drop them off at Parkway Chevrolet.

Volunteers will also be needed at the event. Contact Kassie or Penny to sign up to volunteer.

New Assets

Norris and new mobile home

We are excited to welcome Norris Smith to the JoyRide family.  He is living on the property now with his dog, Bo, to help with the horses and general facility manitenance.

JoyRide has been blessed with the gift of a brand new horse trailer donated by the amazingly generous folks at Gulf Coast 4-Star Trailer Sales in Willis. Thanks also to Mary McKay and Milli Ann Denmark for their part in this donation.  Now the JoyRide herd can really travel in style!

Eat Wings-Support JoyRide!

Ya gotta eat, right?  So, why not bring your friends and family out to Buffalo Wild Wings in Tomball on Wed., October 27 between 6-10 pm.  (which happens to be the night of the first game of the World Series that you can enjoy on one of their gazillion screens!)  JoyRide will get 10% of the food sales from anyone that presents a ticket that evening. Tickets available at JoyRide and on our website, www.joyridecenter.org.  Take several and hand them out!

Luke, the Simulator Horse, Coming to JoyRide Center

On November 11-12, JoyRide will be the site of a very unique riding clinic.  Luke is a black fiberglass horse dressage simulator.  He has sensors in the mouth, head, neck, beneath the saddle and on each side which provide instant feedback to the rider.  This is a once in a lifetime chance to school on a horse that won't buck, shy, or second guess his rider.  Ride times and auditor space are limited.  Contact Mary Kay Hasseman, marykaydressage@me.com, for more information.

Technology Help Needed

We are in the process of adopting Salesforce CRM as our database.  If any of you are familiar with this program and wouldn't mind sharing your knowledge when our extremely non-techy staff has questions, please contact Peggy Wagner .
