Spring has sprung at JoyRide! We now have some beautiful landscaping thanks to, Jimmy Collins of Silversand Landscape. Two beautiful Crepe Myrtles (purple, of course!) frame our new commemorative fence (slats engraved by Shannon Swarb of A-1 Fence & Decks) which displays the names of the major donors who helped with the construction of our facility. The new garden has been named the "McDonald Joy Garden" and will be filled with flowers and plants donated by the clients and volunteers in honor of Jackie and Bill. Come check it out and smell the roses!

Come to the Jamboree!

It's less than 3 weeks until our first annual JoyRide Jamboree. Hope you all received your invitation. If not, you can find it on our website, www.joyridecenter.org. The Jamboree (Sat. May 8) should be a fun -filled evening in 2 parts: 

5:00-6:30 - Open House at JoyRide.  Everyone welcome.  No charge. Come see the place that joy built!  Have your picture taken with one of our special horses.

6:30- 11:00 - JoyRide Jamboree at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club (right around the corner).  $50 per person.  Buffet dinner.  Live and silent auction.  Performance by the Aggie Wranglers dancers.

Sponsorships and auction items should be received in the JoyRide office by Friday, April 23, to be listed on signage.  Contact Jackie at jmcdonald@joyridecenter.org for more information.

Five JoyRiders competed at the Top Hands show Feb 19-21 and all 5 won at least one first place belt buckle! We were so proud of Allison, Andrew, Nicole, Jacob and Mikayla! The icing on the joy cake was when Mikayla was crowned Queen of the Show! What a special day it was! You can see all the pictures from the link on our website, www.joyridecenter.org.

Board Meetings

We want the entire JoyRide family to always feel welcome to participate in every aspect of the program.  That is why board meetings are always open to visitors.  If you wish to be added to the agenda of a board meeting, please contact Roger Wagner, boardpresident@joyridecenter.org, at least one week prior to the meeting.  Board meetings are held quarterly, with the next ones on Wed., July 14 and Wed., Oct. 13, both at 6:30 pm, location to be decided.
