| JoyRide Center Clients are people with a wide range of disabilities, and pairing them with horses is a wonderful and natural thing. Not only is it an opportunity for fun, but horses walk almost exactly like people with the same rhythm and stride length, so it is physically therapeutic also. It is a miracle that horses are the perfect companion to help people with disabilities gain strength for walking, improve their minds with problem solving challenges and expand their spirits by sharing the love of a wonderful animal and group of dedicated volunteers. |
| TO BECOME A CLIENT: Client space is limited, as we are a new facility. Please complete and return the JoyRide client paperwork as soon as possible to reserve your spot. To do so, please click here to download a Client Packet or contact Becky Shoff at bshoff@joyridecenter.org. Again, times and slots are limited and will be filled in the order that paperwork is received based on horse and volunteer availability. The class schedule is as follows: Tuesdays: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM Thursdays: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Fridays: 9:00 AM - 3:15 PM (Unfortunately, we are not able to offer Saturday classes at this time.) |
